Shile real estate investment remains a safe bet for many savers, very few of them have yet entered the Prestige real estate market. And yet this market can generate strong returns on investment, provided you broaden your horizons to the international market and properly assess the stakes and their financial consequences.

When it comes to luxury real estate, it’s important to consider what qualifies as a luxury property. We need to provide the basis for a definition in order to clarify what we mean. What is luxury real estate? By price? Rarity? By the admiration it arouses?
Can luxury real estate be defined by its price?
Some might think that this is a central element in the definition of luxury real estate, and that it is sufficient to establish a floor price at which a property is considered to be a prestige property. However, this is not really the case.
If we take a few examples, a sum of one million euros on the Paris real estate market can buy a 60m² apartment in the first arrondissement, but on the Monaco and Hong Kong markets, you can only buy a 20m² studio. But the same amount of money was used to purchase a 350m² luxury beachfront home on the island of Phuket in Thailand.
Depending on the geographical area, “luxury” properties can be purchased for investment amounts ranging from 500,000 euros to several million euros. This is important information to bear in mind, as the luxury real estate market is highly internationalized.
